Did you know many companies will match donations made by their employees? It’s a simple way to increase the impact of your gift—sometimes even doubling or tripling it!

Check with your Human Resources or Personnel Department to see if your company offers a matching gift program. If they do, just send us the completed form or any required info, and we’ll take it from there. Your gift to Friends of Broadway will be matched according to your company’s guidelines.

While Friends of Broadway can’t assign a dollar value to in-kind gifts (per IRS guidelines), we’ll gladly provide a thank-you letter acknowledging your generous donation. For questions about potential tax benefits, we recommend checking in with your tax advisor.

Looking for a tax-smart way to give? Donating stocks or other investments might be a great option! If you give appreciated, publicly traded securities that you’ve owned for more than a year, you could receive a charitable deduction for the full market value—and neither you nor Broadway Elementary School would have to pay capital gains tax. If your stocks have gone down in value, you might consider selling them first. That way, you could claim a loss on your taxes and then donate the proceeds to support our school.
